Payments and rates

Rates

At Tandartspraktijk IJburg you will receive the best specialist care for the legally established rates. These rates are available to everyone via the following link: dental care prices (in Dutch).

In the overview below you will find an indication of the material and technical costs that you may encounter at our practice. This is an indication, because we work with various dental laboratories - therefore, prices may differ. Your dentist will look for the best solution for your personal situation, where expertise, quality and price are central.

For specific prices of, for example, a crown, bridge or denture, you can always ask your dentist for a budget.

To get a good indication of the expected costs, you can always request a treatment estimate. The practitioner will then give you an overview of the different rate codes and the associated rates. If you are interested in more information about reimbursements by your health insurer, please ask your practitioner directly. We are happy to help you get the best possible idea of the costs.

To provide a little more clarity, we are happy to help you read your invoice:

  1. The dentist codes always consist of letters in combination with a number. The letter indicates the subject, the number the specific treatment.
  2. Each tooth has its own number. You can also read on the bill which tooth it concerns. All numbers starting with a 1 or 2 refer to teeth in the upper jaw, starting with a 3 and 4 refer to the lower jaw.
  3. The rates that a dentist may charge for treatment are set by the government. However, the rates for materials used in the treatment are not fixed and are stated separately on the invoice. The practice may only pass on the actual costs incurred for materials and technology. If there are such costs, they will be stated separately on the invoice.

Payment

We have outsourced sending and collecting invoices to Infomedics. This means we have more time for our main priority: our patients. If you have additional insurance, they will first send the invoice to your health insurance and you will only receive an invoice for the remaining amount that is not reimbursed by your health insurer.

Infomedics recently started digital invoicing. Instead of an invoice by post, you will receive an email with a payment link. The email also contains an invoice number and possibly a login code. If you log in to www.infomedics.nl with these details, you can view and pay your invoice. You can then pay via iDeal, via one-off direct debit or via internet banking. If you are logged in to infomedics.nl, you can also disable digital invoicing if you prefer to receive an invoice by post. If you have not yet received a digital invoice, but are interested in this, please provide your e-mail address to the practice. We will then ensure that you receive your invoice via that email address from now on.

There are some exceptional situations in which you will not receive the invoice via the factoring company:

  • Emergency service: you must always pay the invoice at the emergency service by card or cash.
  • If you are used to paying the invoice directly via PIN and prefer this, we can set this up for you.

We like to hear when you are satisfied, but it is also important for us to know where improvement is possible. We would be happy to discuss this with you. You can email us at info@tandartspraktijkijburg.nl.
